How to Handle 3 Common MLM Objections

Many novice marketers fear objections. They see them as an affront and are just another way for prospects to say ‘not interested’. But this is not always the case. In fact often when a prospect offers an objection it is really simply a request for more information.

Look at an objection as an opportunity. An opportunity to give your prospect another reason to do business with you.

The following represents 3 common objections, and how I handle them

MLM Objection 1: How Much Does it Cost?

It is natural for prospects to ask this question early in a presentation. Unfortunately, when they do it too soon, they’ll be making an assessment based on incomplete information. Our job is to give people complete information so they can weigh up the benefits and features versus the price.

It is important to note that prospects often use the price technique as a way to unbalance ineffective marketers. It unsettles them, and as a result of them blurting out the price too soon, the sale is lost.

So how do we get prospects to hold off on the price issue, whilst you guide them through the information process? Here is what I say:

“John, thanks for asking. You can get started for a small fraction of the dollars it would take to start a traditional business. We have different entry points into our business, but before we look at the options, I need you to see the complete picture first. I have a video presentation which will show you our product, our business model, and of course the different financial pathways into our business.”

Rationale:

It is important that you do not sound evasive when faced with this objection/question. Give them something to satisfy them without spilling the beans.

MLM Objection 2: I Will Do My Due Diligence

I am a strong advocate of the takeaway technique. It’s made me a lot of money over the years. The Takeaway is a posture play whereby you demonstrate that you are the leader, that you don’t need your prospect’s business, and that you are NOT to be fussed with!

So when a prospect says they have to do their due diligence/research no need to panic. Agree with them but at the same time unsettle them with the takeaway. Here is what I say:

“You must do your due diligence. The last thing I want is for someone to make a rash decision based on incomplete information.

What I’ve found is that when you get complete information it is much easier for me to dialogue with you on a mature basis. This is great, because once we bring you up to my level of understanding about this business, I think you will see what I saw when I was looking – and get excited. It will also tell me if you have the right ingredients to make a success of this business.

Rationale

The key to this response is to do with the posture I take when dialoguing with prospects. (Some call me the king of posture – for good reason!)

Effective use of the Takeaway (you can see it in the last sentence), will transform your results – and elevate you above the hoards of useless marketers who have no posture, no confidence – and no future.

MLM Objections 3: I Can’t Sell

The reality is that the last people I look for are traditional sales folk. The problem with them is that they are essentially hunters who are always looking for the next kill. This is how I handle it:

“I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is that I am not seeking sales people. They are too much like hunters for my liking. They have no idea about how to build a real business and are are too focused on short term results. The bad news is that I require you to be teachable and coachable. I need you to follow our simple system – to maximize your results. Are you teachable?”

Rationale

Speaks for itself. Simple fact is that typical salespeople are usually the worst people for your network marketing business. Let your prospect know this whilst at the same time maintaining your posture.

Fair and Unbalanced Review of Rod Stinson

Rod Stinson is an old style marketer who has embraced some of the newer internet based methodologies.

Rod has quite a history, which has helped make him what he is today – an ace marketer.

Here is a snapshot of Rod’s history as a marketer:

Started with Nu Skin. Never made much money with them, but learned a lot.

Joined Omnutrition. Cracked the code here and began to make some good money.

Achievers Unlimited. Rod hit pay dirt with AU. Became a top producer until the company went off the rails.

Own MLM. After the Achievers International experience Rod decided to start his own MLM. Had some success, but didn’t set the world on fire.

Digital Products MLM. Rod also dabbled in selling digital products via the MLM marketing method.

Trader. After having mixed results as an mlm marketer Rod decided to try a different approach – so he became a successful trader – an activity he was involved with for 5 years.

Family IQ. A couple of years ago Rod joined forces with Mark Hobbins, founder of Family IQ, an educational business specializing in fostering and strengthening relationships.

Rod Stinson isn’t what you would call Mr Motivation. His deadly earnest delivery style is hardly designed to set the world on fire. But what he lacks in charisma he more than makes up for in competence and street smarts. In short, what this guy doesn’t know about nuts and bolts marketing, isn’t worth knowing.

Some of Rod Stinson’s favorite strategies are, direct mail, email marketing, voice mail blasts, and solo ads.

Rod’s latest project is called the Home Based Business Academy, a training business for frustrated home based marketers. HBBA is currently in pre-launch.

Look out for it.

Fair and Balanced LifePharm Global Network Review

Bit of a buzz around LifePharm Global Network lately and their ‘miracle’ product (heard that before?), Laminine.

So what’s behind the hype – smoke and mirrors or is there some substance there?

LifePharm Global Network is a multilevel marketing company involved in the business of providing superior quality and all-natural supplements. LifePharm Global Network is a privately subsidiary company of LifePharm Inc., a well known pharmaceutical company out of South Carolina.

LifePharm Global Network currently operates in six countries; the United States, Australia, Austria, India, Indonesia and Malaysia. Their stated goal is to be a market leader in the manufacturing of premium, high quality natural supplements made in the USA.

LifePharm Global Network – Superb Management Team

LifePharm Global Network kicked off in 2001 and is run by three guys with extensive business and MLM backgrounds.

Bernard Sjauta is the Chief Executive Officer. He holds a business degree from the University of Southern California and has managed companies in the consumer healthcare and wellness field.

The dynamic duo, brothers Winston and Wickson Suyanto are also part of the management team. Winston is the company’s VP for Operations, and holds a business degree from UCLA. Wickson Suyanto, on the other hand, serves as VP for Finance and manages the company’s finances including the company’s investments and funding.

The company boasts a combined 150 years of management experience in the beauty and wellness industries. LifePharm Global Network also works closely with two prominent medical experts – Dr. Kim E. Gebrosky and Dr. Alexis Martin.

LifePharm Global Network: Goals, Missions and Visions

LifePharm Global Network’s mission is to provide its target market, both men and women, with all-natural products that can help them gain a lifestyle boost.

r if we take a quote directly from their website ‘to help change YOU to become a better person – emotional, physical, mental and financial changes’.

LifePharm Global Network aims to create the perfect brand that can trigger such changes in a person’s life – a noble goal which will be nobler if achieved. Enough of the hyperbole – onto the nuts and bolts now!

LifePharm Global Network – Product Overview

LifePharm Global Network has developed and introduced numerous all-natural products since they started.

However, 2 years ago they launched their flagship product called Laminine into the US. Laminine is a unique product that already had a long 80 year history of saving and improving lives, by way of reducing stress (it seems to calm people down in a natural way).

LifePharm Global Network is proud that all of its products are manufactured in the United States and is approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Needless to say, US-made products are often known for their reputation of superior quality.

How Can You Earn Money From LifePharm Global Network?

LifePharm Inc. uses traditional distribution channels, that is via retail shops and department stores. However with the birth of LifePharm Global Network, LifePharm Inc.’s products including the flagship product Laminine can now be brought from independent distributors and marketers.

And therein lies the opportunity for budding entrepreneurs.

The company has also developed a unique compensation plan that gives reps the ability to earn a percentage of sales from distributors up to the seven levels deep. There are also a number of bonuses that reward sales excellence.

Nevertheless, their compensation plan is somewhat complicated and typically cannot be readily understood at first glance.

As is the case with all network marketing deals, success with LifePharm Global Network is based on building successful and active teams and is measured by the collaborative efforts of reps who aspire to be leaders.

Should You Join LifePharm Global Network?

Choosing LifePharm Global Network could represent a life changing decision, or just another notch on the belt of failed biz ops. No one can say if this is the next MLM giant, but LifePharm appears to be moving in the right direction. Keep an eye out for them!

Article Marketing Tips

Does article marketing really work? Yes it does. No doubt about it.

Is it a quick fix? Probably not. But after using targeted articles to build traffic to my blogs (which is now more than 52,000 visitors a month), I can say without fear of contradiction that this stuff really really works.

However one of the criticisms that people make about article marketing is that it is slow to produce a result. My response to that is that sometimes it can be slow. But if you do your research and choose the right keywords it can be surprisingly fast.

For instance, I have had some articles rank in the top 5 on Google in as little as a week.

Here are some tips I’ve found to be effective:

1. Everything Starts With Keywords

Type your keyword into the Google Keyword tool. That will give you a good idea of the competition and monthly searches for that term. As a rule of thumb I look for key terms with monthly searches of less than say 30,000. Even micro niches with just a few hundred searches a month can work.

To get ranked quickly look for keywords with lower search numbers. That’s all I do to get my articles ranked quickly – I’m always looking for smaller niches, so I can dominate them.

2. Integrate Your Keyword Into Your Articles (But DON’T ‘Keyword Stuff’)

When writing an article integrate your chosen keyword in a way that satisfies SEO requirements whilst at the same ensuring your articles are a ‘good read’. SEO requirements are simple – if you’re writing a 400 word article, you can insert the keyword 4 – 5 times, of which one insertion should be in the first and last sentence. Also use it in your h1 and h2 tags.

3. Create a Keyword Targeted Headline That Works

Make your headline interesting whilst at the same time keyword specific. Vital that your keyword is in the headline. To create reader interest try “How to” headlines such as ‘The 5 Reasons Why ………..” etc. Another technique I use is provocation.

4. Create Spun Content That Makes Sense

You can use article spinning software or do it manually, but you need to create different versions of the same article. If your name is listed as the author make sure the spun versions read well and make sense.

5. Submit the Article to Article Sites

Use article sites such as Ezine Articles, Article Base, Article Alley, Go Articles, Evan Carmichael, Idea Marketers.

I usually submit first to Ezine Articles before I submit to other article sites. They are the market leader and are strict, so if you get your article approved there, the other sites should have no problem approving it.

6. Post the Article On Social Media and Bookmarking Sites

Post to Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Digg, StumbleUpon, Delicious, Friend Feed and Diigo.

You can also post to Google Plus, Pingler and Pingomatic.

The objective is to secure for yourself valuable back links from these sites and others.

This stuff really works!

Writing keyword targeted articles is the way to go. It amazes me how many people start a blog, and indulge themselves by writing a load of unfocused nonsense that makes no commercial sense. If you’re wanting to attract traffic, you simply must select your keywords and write articles to suit.

Beware of attraction marketing spiel" width="409" height="304" />
So what about this attraction marketing caper?

Lots of people have bought into the story that attraction marketing is THE way to go. But go to where? To a bunch of miniscule affiliate commissions? Or to the big money in network marketing?

Purportedly most attraction marketers embark on this course so they can procure more and better quality leads for their network marketing business.

Problem is that these attraction marketing strategies often become an end in themselves. Novice attraction marketers become consumed by the PROCESS of attraction marketing (blogging, article marketing, social media etc), rather than the result.

Not saying that blogging etc is not a good thing to do. It can be. But get real. Unless these activities produce quality leads for your primary business in a timely manner, you are probably wasting your time.

Why People Are Attracted to Attraction Marketing

One of the reasons network marketers embrace attraction marketing strategies is because they have not been making money using traditional strategies.

Some of them then criticize old style marketers, despite the fact that old style network marketing companies still claim the lion’s share of industry wide sales.

Why haven’t they been making money using traditional strategies? They couldn’t make them work. So out of weakness they look for others ways to get the job done. Understandable.

The Right Way to Use Attraction Marketing

It’s a given that traditional strategies work better than typical attraction marketing strategies in the short to medium term. Understanding this key point allowed me to formulate my own attraction marketing strategy.

Here is what I did when I embarked on the attraction marketing journey 4 years ago. I made it a part time activity so I could remain focused on core activities – phoning leads and chasing business.

I didn’t allow attraction marketing activities to intrude into what I HAD to do every day. This approach ensured that business and income continued to flow.

Family IQ is a unique network marketing company that offers family-oriented skill building tools and programs as its main products.

Family IQ hopes to build lasting ties between family members and improve current relationships.

The company’s main mission is to “empower individuals and parents to improve their personal, partnering and parenting skills” so that they can work towards improving their family relationships especially with their sons or daughters.

Family IQ doesn’t offer any real or tangible product apart from the digital CD’s and videos that come with their seminars and courses.

The types of products Family IQ offers are very different to those being offered by a typical network marketing business. Many say it represents a refreshing change!

In a way it’s nice to know that the products have the potential to mend broken relationships, instil values and self esteem in teenagers, and even help people overcome anti social and addictive behavior.

The main concept behind Family IQ is to prevent rather than to treat which are simply what people, governments and families need.

Background to FIQ

Family IQ was founded in 2001 by Mark Hobbins. Mark’s goal is to build better and more lasting relationships between family members.

Mark Hobbins, is a father of seven and also a co-founder of one of the world’s largest nonprofit organizations involved in assisting trouble youths and broken families.

Knowing the background of Hobbins, it becomes apparent after research that he is one special individual. Some say he’s a genius. He has created a platform in which he can continue his selfless efforts while at the same time earning a hefty amount for his members and himself.

Needless to say, in a cold world dominated by fast-paced technologies, the Family IQ concept is a bit like a rare diamond in the rough. For that reason, Family IQ seems to appear more like a nonprofit organization than an MLM company – and that’s a complement to its founders and management.

Family IQ Products

The main products of Family IQ include the Family Builder Package and the Express Package.

The Family Builder Package is the flagship product which contains Family IQ License Fee, My Family IQ Test (including eligibility for unlimited retakes,) My Family IQ Learning Plan, The Core 5 Program, Activities and Articles Library, E-Business Kit, Personal Marketing Website, a Back Office, a Free Family IQ Seminar, a Free Family IQ Workshop and 20 Product Point goods that can be used in purchasing Family IQ courses, tests, articles, and audio resources.

The Family Builder Package however, costs a hefty $1,495, however from a business point of view it is attractive as the commission is $1,000. The Express Package is much cheaper at $395.

Family IQ Compensation Plan

Family IQ claims to introduce a powerful, proprietary, patented and highly profitable compensation plan that rewards members for helping families. Basically, Family IQ’s compensation plan allows you to earn on four different ways.

Members are provided with 50% commission on sales directly made on their behalf. There is also a $1,000 instant bonus for every sale of the Family Builder Package. There are also fast-start bonuses members can take advantage of.

Family IQ’s compensation plan is very appealing and proves to be an effective way of attracting potential members. On one hand, it’s hard to look for someone who’ll buy the packages as well as the other services being offered by the company.

The Rod Stinson Connection

Master marketer Rod Stinson entered the FIQ scene a couple of years ago. Rod has a long history in marketing and as the story goes, made Mark Hobbins an offer he couldn’t refuse.

In essence Rod suggested that FIQ move away from the conventional distribution model that had been employed up till that point, and embrace a direct sales/network marketing model. That is how FIQ became a network marketing type of business.

Rod Stinson utilises a number of effective marketing strategies such as direct mail (postcards), voice mail broadcasts, solo ads, and email marketing. In essence Rod is an old style direct marketer who has grafted onto his repertoire some online strategies as well (Note: Rod Stinson is not a blogger!)

Conclusion

In conclusion, Family IQ is a legitimate company with a good product. There is good potential for growth, providing that Rod Stinson and his marketing program deliver the goods.
