The Law of Gratitude Rocks

What are the benefits of being grateful?  Self interest rules and if we can understand the key benefits, then maybe we will show gratitude more frequently.
The reality is that – for most  of us – there is a lot o be grateful for.  Think of your life assets; count them up, weigh them up.  Then look at your ‘liabilities’.  How’s it looking?  You should be showing a hefty surplus.  Yea, baby!

Focus on what is working in your life and what IS right in the world. It doesn’t matter how small or seemingly insignificant it may be. Before long you will notice that more things will fall into place with little or no effort on your part. Gratitude is a wonderful tool to use to feel good fast.

So there you have it – ten great reasons to show gratitude.  One idea is to keep a daily gratitude log – a record of everything u have to be grateful for.
Being grateful will give you a natural high.   Live your life in congruity with your values, your spirit, and your appreciation of life.  Magic will happen.

    I am gratful for everyday just to be alive, my family and that I have a job. Right now lots of people would be grateful just to put food in their months

    What you have said here is true. I foound out about the virtues of gratitude a few years ago and I am still learning about more great people throughout history who have known about gratitude as well. A very wise elserly lady in an Al Anon group I attended some years ago suggested to me that gratitude was the antidote to negative feelings such as self pity, bitterness and resentment. I didn’t see the logic in that so she suggested I try making a list of things which I could be grateful for as soon as I started to succumb to negative emotions. The next day I tried it and it really worked. I have been an avid exponent of, and spokesman for, gratitude ever since. I am glad you have shared your like mindedness. The world runs better on gratitude. I believe it is a component of love. Thanks for sharing with us. Peter
